BioEntrepreneurial Service: The Qubit Systems

WELCOME TO THE QUBIT SYSTEM.

The Qubit System was created by university researchers in 1996. Quibit stands for Queen's Universit
y Biological Instrumentation and Technology. Their system is used in over five hundred colleges around the world. It greatly improved research and technology. The Quibit System Inc consists of "scientists who understand the needs of scientists". They created Gas Analyzers that are available for the measurement of metabolically important gases such as CO2, O2, CH4, H2, etc. It is vital to choose an analyzer with the correct range and resolution for the sample being studied. Gas analyzers may be arranged in series or in parallel for synchronous measurements.

bio entrepeneurs (8

On the day of November 12, 2007, Pauline Woods and Mary Berry estates donated an extremely generous gift of $1.1 Million to the Sam Houston State University of Biology. Both Pauline Woods and Mary Berry are former Texas public school teachers striving to make the world better for biology. With this benevolent donation, the University was able to give many more scholarships for students in the biology major; this amount of money was also able to benefit the socialogy program as well. Woods and Berry brought a great deal of help for the biology department, and Sam Houston State University will always be thankful. A big kudos for Pauline Woods and Mary Berry!
They're really helping to benefit the world of biology one university at a time and that is a very magnanimous thing of them to do.
KUDOS!

EYE LECTURE (=

Dr. Pamela Fong gave us a lecture about eye anatomy today. I learned many things about the eye that i did not know before. One thing is that we have a blind spot in the eye where the optic nerve is. Another thing I learned is that everyone has a unique design of the iris, just like our fingerprints. Another thing is that an expert can tell the general health of a person by just looking inside of the person's eye. It can tell the person's approximate age, if he/she has high blood pressure, and much more. The pictures in the presentation really made it easy to understand and enjoyable. Thank you Dr. Pamela Fong, YOU ROCK MY SOCKS.

THE ANGIOSPERMM.

Angiosperms are one of the major groups of extant seed plants and the most diverse major extant plant group on Earth, with at least 260,000 living species classified in 453 different families. They're seen mostly everywhere on our planet except for extreme climated areas such as the highest mountaintops, regions around the pool, and the deepest oceans. They're host plants, as floating and rooted aquatics in both freshwater and sea habitats, and as terrestrial plants that vary tremendously in many forms. They can be small herbs, parasitic plants, shrubs, vines, lianas, or even giant trees. There is a great length of variety in their chemistry, reproductive morphology, genome size, and organization that is unlike other members of the Plant Kingdom. Although just a plant, angiosperms are vital for human existence. A big majority of the world's crops and clothes fabric are of angiosperms. They're also helpful for many types of medicine.

EVOLUTION PRESENTATION (=

On Friday, we all had the pleasure to learn from Louise Mead, an evolution professional. She did a good job, but it was mostly all review and what i've already learned. However, it was helpful that she taught from her very own perspective. Mead also did not deny other thoughts but reassured that anything is possible for the idea of evolution, but perhaps if she had some visual aids, it would have made the thoughts more persuasive to the student audience. Although, other than that, she did an extremely good job on her presentation.
